I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sandy and Peters’ Puppies. When identifying a breeder, it was very important to me to find someone who bred puppies ethically and raised them in their home as part of their family. It’s clear Sandy and her family love all the puppies as their own until they head to their forever homes. We also have a kiddo with allergies so needed to make sure the puppy we brought her home would not cause problems for her. Sandy educated us about the genes commonly associated with pet allergies and knew the genotypes of her dogs which helped us decide which litter and puppy would be best for us. She also sent us fur samples from dogs with different genetic backgrounds so we could test if our daughter would have any issues with the fur. Throughout the whole process Sandy was in constant communication with us and posted multiple videos daily so we could watch the puppies grow and get a sense of each pup’s personality. The pupsalso underwent temperament testing and Sandy to give us an honest assessment of their strengths and areas for improvement. Sandy is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and raising puppies. Even now after we’ve taken our puppy home, she checks in frequently to see how we’re doing with our puppy and offers helpful advice to make the transition more smooth. Our boy, Maverick, came to us already crate trained and mostly housebroken thanks to all the effort Sandy has already put in beforehand. I was delighted to find out that Sandy breeds for service dog prospects, which is exactly what we were looking for. We were overwhelmed with all of the information out there about SD prospects, especially with it being such a huge investment financially and emotionally, we wanted to ensure this was the right fit. From the moment we got on our Zoom call, you could tell how passionate Sandy is about her dogs and her program.
